SeriesFest’s Pitch-A-Thon is on the road to Toronto! The program provides independent content creators with an opportunity to participate in an exclusive live pitch session with top television, new media, and digital executives in hopes of moving their unproduced projects forward and winning a cash prize of $2,500!
In partnership with Royal Bank of Canada, the live event will be held in Toronto during TIFF at a TBD date between September 9-12 and chosen participants will be provided two nights of hotel accommodation and airfare (up to $400).
HOW IT WORKS
Writers submit their unproduced episodic projects to participate in this unique opportunity and 5-6 writers are selected to pitch their new series ideas to a panel of industry experts in front of a live audience. Once selected to pitch, writers receive coaching from Working Artist Group to refine their pitch (virtually prior to the event and at an in-person workshop on the day of the event). All writers will get to watch the pitches and feedback live, providing an exciting educational opportunity for everyone.
The winning pitch, chosen by the panel of experts, will receive:
- $2,500 cash prize!
- Badge to SeriesFest: Season 9
- One-on-one mentorship meeting with an industry professional to further project development
