SeriesFest Mobile Cinema Lab

ABOUT SERIESFEST MOBILE CINEMA LAB:

SeriesFest Mobile Cinema Lab is a traveling program that brings video production and storytelling education into schools across Colorado. The program features current filmmaking equipment with instruction by professional filmmakers. We have a fully developed curriculum that guides students through writing, production, post-production, and more. SeriesFest strives to inspire and celebrate the voice of every student and we believe it is our mission to break down barriers that limit access for students in our community.

As schools change and grow, the importance of visual literacy and 21st century skills becomes more and more important. SeriesFest Mobile Cinema Lab brings STEAM-based educational strategies to students and schools, offering both in-school education and extracurricular programs.

The program serves students 5th–12th grade.

WHAT WE OFFER:

Education

Our talented instructors bring storytelling to life! All instructors are fully background checked and trained to work in schools using culturally responsive and inclusive teaching strategies.

Equipment:

We provide full cinema packages for each grade level. Students will get a hands-on opportunity to become a filmmaker and storyteller all while using the same gear professionals use.

Curriculum:

The MCL curriculum is story-based and built on collaboration. Students will work in teams to write, produce, and edit their own short films and TV pilots all while learning how to utilize 21st century technology throughout.
